The main purpose of memoryformat is to distribute music in the form of free downloadable audio files. By ‘free’ we mean both zero price and free distribution of the released works. Memoryformat may occasionally distribute other media as well. Any earnings made from our activities will be used to pay artists, cover expenses or fund future projects.
Memoryformat’s output is not limited to one genre but not every genre is suitable for memoryformat. The most appropriate word to describe the sound we’re after would be ‘challenging’. The best way to understand what memoryformat is about is to listen to the online releases.
