Multi-Panel returns with a mini-album companion piece to last year's Train Times For Sway album. Retain Mist is initially more accessible than Train Times and still proudly carries the folktronic flag. The rhythms here are simpler, the melodies catchier. Prepare Rain's soft guitar strums hide under layers of synth blips. Restraint focuses on the minimal as acoustic guitar takes the spotlight, backed by electronic sounds and sparse vocals. Drop It boarders on the trenches of ambient music. The album ends with a lovely remix by Full-Source of Tuesday, an unreleased song from the Train Times For Sway sessions.
